Never forget a critical game-day communication again. Covers pre-game reminders, lineup notifications, post-game updates, and parent communication.

Game Day Communication Checklist

Use this checklist before, during, and after every game to keep players, parents, and staff fully informed.

⏰ 48 Hours Before Game

●[ ] Send game reminder to all players and parents (time, location, directions)
●[ ] Confirm venue address is correct (use Google Maps link)
●[ ] Confirm uniform color (home vs. away)
●[ ] Send equipment list reminder (shin guards, cleats, water, snacks)
●[ ] Confirm officials are booked (if your responsibility)
●[ ] Notify any players of specific roles or changes for this game

⏰ Morning of Game

●[ ] Send final reminder via team app/messaging group
●[ ] Include parking instructions if venue is new
●[ ] Share estimated weather forecast
●[ ] Confirm arrival time (30–45 min before game)
●[ ] Text any players who didn’t confirm attendance

✅ At the Venue (Pre-Game)

●[ ] Sign in with tournament/league official
●[ ] Get roster approved if required
●[ ] Brief assistant coaches on game plan
●[ ] Conduct warm-up (follow your standard routine)
●[ ] Identify first aid location and emergency exits
●[ ] Confirm score-keeping arrangements

🏁 During the Game

●[ ] Track substitutions systematically (no one sits for the whole game)
●[ ] Keep sideline calm and organized
●[ ] Monitor player energy and attitude, not just performance
●[ ] Track any injuries or incidents (even minor ones)

📨 Post-Game (Same Day)

●[ ] Send post-game summary to team (brief: 2–3 positives, 1 focus area)
●[ ] Document final score and record
●[ ] Note any injuries (report per your program’s policy)
●[ ] Log player performance notes for coaching review
●[ ] Thank officials (sets a culture of respect)

📅 Next Practice Communication

●[ ] Share next practice time and location within 24 hours
●[ ] Briefly address the game at the start of next practice
●[ ] Follow up individually with any players who need support
