Staff Pre-Season Meeting Agenda
Duration: 90 minutes | Attendees: All coaches and staff
1. Season Goals (20 min)
●Review previous season outcomes
●Set measurable team goals for this season (wins, development markers, culture)
●Set individual development goals for 3–5 key players
●Align on what “success” looks like at the end of the season
2. Roles and Responsibilities (15 min)
Define clearly who owns what:
3. Coaching Philosophy Review (15 min)
●What is our identity as a coaching staff?
●How do we handle player conflict or discipline?
●What is our playing time philosophy?
●How do we communicate with each other during games?
4. Practice Structure Agreement (15 min)
●Standard practice format (warm-up, skill, tactical, scrimmage, debrief)
●Who runs each section?
●How do we handle player who misses practice without notice?
5. Parent Communication Protocol (10 min)
●One voice policy: parents contact head coach first
●Staff do not discuss playing time with parents
●Agreed response time for messages
6. Open Issues and Planning (15 min)
●Equipment needs
●Scheduling conflicts
●Budget items
Closing
●Set next staff meeting date
●Confirm communication channel for staff (group chat, email, etc.)
